Hello Students and Parents! Welcome to Room 49. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn, explore, and create with you during this school year. I have taught fourth grade for many years and have truly enjoyed every minute of the journey. My philosophy of teaching is based on the fact that children learn best when they are actively engaged in their learning. I take great pride in offering a fun yet informative classroom environment where all students have the ability to contribute and thrive.
When I am not in the classroom you can find me at home in Paxton, MA with my husband and two wonderful children, Cameron and Alison. Cam is 12 years old and loves soccer, lacrosse, basketball, snowboarding, skateboarding, and animals (especially found in the ocean). Ali is 9 and loves soccer, lacrosse, basketball, snowboarding, and arts and crafts. My hobbies include snowboarding, coaching soccer, lacrosse, and basketball, reading, gardening, spending time at the beach, and hanging out with friends and family. Life is very busy and fun in the Fontaine household and I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year.
